›I work rotating shifts at the hospital. Can the payments fit around irregular hours?
Yes. Payments are weekly and fixed, so they do not move when your roster does. What we look at is whether the weekly figure fits your income, not whether you work nine to five.
›I drive for Uber or DiDi. Does the car qualify?
Rideshare drivers are welcome, and each platform sets its own rules on vehicle age, size and inspections. Tell us which platform you drive for before you choose, and we will point you to a car that meets its requirements.
›Are there kilometre limits if I drive out to the Swan Valley or the hills?
No. There is no weekly or annual kilometre cap on a Toybrids agreement. Daily runs up Great Eastern Highway, out to Ellenbrook or into the Swan Valley do not count against you.
›My credit history is not great. Will that stop me?
Not here. Toybrids does not run a traditional bank credit check, so a past default or a short Australian credit file does not decide the answer the way it does with a lender. Our guide to no credit check rent-to-own cars explains how we assess you instead.
›I am on a temporary visa. Can I still apply?
Yes. Student, work and bridging visa holders can apply, as can anyone on a permanent residency pathway. A valid Australian driver licence and work rights are what matter.
›Do I have to take a Toyota?
No. Toyota, Kia, Hyundai and Mitsubishi are all on the table, and if the car you want is not on the lot we can order it in, provided it is 2021 or newer and between $28,000 and $50,000.
›What about insurance and registration?
Registration is built into your weekly payment. Insurance is organised when you collect the car, because the premium depends on your driving experience and claims history, and you are welcome to bring your own cover for us to match. We explain the options in our guide to insuring your car in Perth.
›When does the car actually become mine?
The car becomes yours once you complete all payments under your rent-to-own agreement. There is no balloon payment and no interest built into the weekly figure. The full conditions, including the deposit and notice period, are on our rent-to-own terms page.
